1. 2.	Citrus Notes-Agricultural Advantages of So. California	These are notes from a speech given by Mr. Chapman at a banquet at the Pomona Farmer's Club Institute. He details the environmental advantages that Southern California has in relation to the rest of the world.

3.	Citrus Notes-Agricultural Possibilities of So. California	This speech was given at the opening of the Land Show in Los Angeles. In it Mr. Chapman extolls the virtues of Southern California for agriculture and maintains that the region can compete very successfully with other regions when advances in shipping and refrigeration are taken into account.

5.	Citrus Notes-Fertilization	This speech discusses the necessity of fertilizing citrus crops and delves into which kinds and how much per tree. Some of the soil amendments Mr. Chapman discusses are potash, bone meal, nitrogen, nitrate of soda, and phosphoric acid. He also stresses the importance of knowing your orchard.

6.	Citrus Notes-Fertilizers	Charles C. Chapman discusses experimentation with various fertilizers on his Santa Isabel Ranch in Fullerton and fertilizing methods he discussed with orchardists in Fullerton and Placentia. He mentions trying sheep manure, lime cake, bone meal, commercial fertilizer, wood ashes and a combination of each. He concludes that he cannot discern any difference in his crops based on the type of fertilizer employed. He goes on to say that he feels that there is already much plant food in soil and that aeration and frequent cultivation are the key to utilize these nutrients.

7.	Citrus Notes-Handling the Orange-Riverside1909	This speech was presented to the Riverside Y.M.C.A. on April 13, 1909. Mr. Chapman discusses the necessity of careful handling of the orange, from the tree to the market, so that the oranges are not bruised or damaged. He delves into details such as using the right kind of clippers, placing the fruit in clean picking bags and boxes that are the right size, using the right kind of ladder, and wagons with springs to properly transport the oranges.

8.	Citrus Notes-Official Opening	This speech was presented at the official opening of the Orange County Fair. Mr. Chapman espouses the benefits of fairs to the advancement of agriculture and livestock breeding while emphazing the importance of amusements to the financial success of a fair. He compliments the Orange County Fair for balancing these needs to produce a successful and well-managed community event.

9.	Citrus Notes-Orange Marketing Troubles	These are notes for a presentation made by Mr. Chapman to the San Fernando Chamber of Commerce. It mentions some of the challenges faced by the citrus industry, such as shipping difficulties, tariffs, production issues, and advertising. He implies that these issues are damaging the reputation of the orange.

10.	Citrus Notes-The Citrus Industry - Fullerton 1917	These are notes for a presentation given at Fullerton High School by Mr. Chapman. He gives a broad overview of the citrus industry, discussing influence of location, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, handling of the fruit, and marketing on the success or lack thereof of a citrus grower. He emphasizes the importance of choosing the right fruit variety for the chosen location and growing conditions.

11.	Citrus Notes-The Romance of Farming	Speech presented at the Orange County Christian Endeavor Convention. Mr. Chapman stresses that as a vocation, farming stands at the head of all callings, both in antiquity and usefulness. All people rely upon the endeavors of the farmer, for the food they eat and the clothes they wear.

12.	Citrus Notes-The Santa Ysabel Ranch	These are notes for an article published in by the Fullerton News.

13.	Citrus Notes-The Value of the Tariff to Citrus	Mr Chapman talks about the importance of the tariff on foreign-grown citrus fruits to the California citrus industry. He details some of the history of the battle to inact the tariff as well as the threats to it at the time this speech was given. He claims that the tariff is the most important factor in the profitabilty of California citrus fruits and that this in turn provides a major support to the economy of the state.

14.	Citrus Talks-Back to Good Times	This is a radio address that was given by Mr. Chapman during the Bank of America's "Back to Good Times" program. "Back to Good Times" urged Americans to invest and bank their money to help bring the country out of the Depression. Mr Chapman claims Californians have a special obligation to participate, considering its farmers are among the most prosperous in the nation.

15.	Citrus Talks-Citrus Fruits	This talk covers the history of the orange, lemon, and grapefruit, and discusses cultivation, pruning, pests, fertilizers, irrigation, marketing and climate in relation to citrus production.

16.	Citrus Talks-Citrus Growers Problems	An article written for New York Fruit Bulletin delineating two main problems encounted by California citrus growers--overproduction and the influx of imported fruit due to the reduction of the tariff. Mr. Chapman also wonders what benefits will be reaped from shipping California citrus fruit through the Panama Canal.

17.	Citrus Talks-Citrus League	In this speech Chapman details the history and some of the accomplishments of the Citrus League. He also speaks some about the decline in interest in agriculture amongst the younger generation.

18.	Citrus Talks-Frost Prevention	This is the program for the Convention of Fruit Growers, called specifically to address the subject of frost prevention. Mr Charles C. Chapman addressed the convention as the President of the Citrus Protective League. The presentations addressed the history and importance of frost prevention and various methods of achieving it.

19.	Citrus Talks-Handling the Orange	This speech was presented in Redlands, California on January 23, 1909. This speech is similar to the speech given at the Riverside Y.M.C.A. in 1909 and discusses the care and handling of the orange from tree to market.

20.	Citrus Talks-Handling the Orange from Tree to Market	This speech was given to the Special Citrus Fruit Growers' Institute in Riverside. In it Mr. Chapman details some of the necessary methods and precautions that must be taken when picking and shipping citrus fruit to distant markets, to ensure that fruit is not unnecessarily damaged and profits lost. Extra care in these areas, according to him, will separate the successful from the unsuccessful grower.
